Frustrations (p.s. I'm Home)

Hello again everybody! :) I missed you!  I had a great time on my trip, and pinky swear that I'll be posting a new ...post here soon, dedicated 110% to Michigan! Until then, I'm venting about online classes.... They are obnoxious.  Especially if they are an online course for Computer Literacy.  Probably the most boing class I will ever take.  Seriously.  It's just a whole bunch of technical stuff, like spreadsheets, and forms, and tables, and data collectors, etc.  Which I'm sure would be super handy for techy people.  But.... I'm not a techy person... so........ Yeah.  How about you guys?  Are you people frustrated about anything?!?!?!??! Huh??!??

Yes, I must go.  No,  I shan't be long.  There, there, dry your tears, I know you'll somehow find a way to survive without me for ten days.  Yes, that's right.  Ten days.  No, hush, I don't want to hear it.  You'll make me too sad.  Be strong darling, for the both of us.


Hahahaha, wow, that was weird.  Anyhoo, yes, I'm leaving for Michigan tomorrow morning at approximately 6:30 am.  Sounds early?  It is, but I don't mind.  I love catching the earliest flights, because when you drive to the airport, there's hardly anyone out, and the streets are calm...  It's almost like the type of serenity you can only find in a dream, and it's amazing.  Plus, Michigan is amazing!  I look forward to going every single year, and it's kind of like my home away from home.  I have tons of family there, and I always get to enjoy some sort of new adventure.  Yes sirree, good times await in good ole MI.  However, because I will be in the Land of the Great Lakes, I will not be blogging.  At all.  None.  Zilch.  Zip.  Nada.  So deal with it! (sorry, don't mean to sound too harsh..) Just know that I love you, and will tell you all about my trip when I get home.  Wish me luck, and uu revoir!

Block Party!

Today was the Reno Block Party! (actually, it was yesterday, but I forgot to post this last night.... whoops) We went down to Wingfield Park by the river, and it was tons of fun for music lovers and people-watching lovers alike!  I was there with my family and friends to watch Memory Motel, but I also got to see Very Pretty Pigeon (kinda..?)* and The Kanes!  It's great to see everyone come out to hear some great music :)  Long story short, next time you hear about some local music fest thing, or a farmers market, or an Artown, go on and check it out!  Who knows?  You might discover an experience of a lifetime, or maybe, in a few years, you'll be able to say that you saw The So and Sos play in concert before they were big, when they were just a local band.  The possibilities are endless!

* what I mean by kinda is that it was the same group of band members as Very Pretty Pigeon, but they sounded completely different and called themselves Deathly Hallows or somethin like that.. very peculiar.. :)

Today Is Special

Today is Thursday.   So.... Umm why is it so special again?  I don't get it.

Well, first of all, it's about 80 degrees outside.  Proper summer weather if you ask me.

And....?

Well, that's about it.  Other than, oh yeah, almost forgot.  IT'S SUMMER BREAK!!!!!!!!


Yes ladies and gentlemen, once again it's that crazy time of year where the kids wear flip flops, blast their stereos and have crazy dance parties in the street, take over the beaches, go to amazing block parties to see their favorite bands, and most of all just have a great time!  Prepare yourselves for the smell of sunscreen and barbeque smokin' on the barbecues!

Here in Reno, there are TONS of things I love to do when there's no school (if I'm not babysitting my sister that is)
- go to the park
- go to the pool
- go to Tahoe
- go to the river
- go to Artown!
- go to concerts
- hang out with friends
- go to Michigan
- blast music!! (my favourite song of the moment is Bulletproof Heart by My Chemical Romance)
- water fights!
- ... online classes .. :P (computer literacy is the most boring class you will ever take)
- just chillax at home
- walk to Waldens/Yogurt Beach with a wad of cash
- downtown Reno!
- going to the movies
- late night games of tag
- fireworks!
