Hmmm... You know what's hilarious? Absolutely, fantastically hysterical? It's just that, I'm blogging about a coincidence tonight, and guess what I was talking about during the walk home with my buddy Meade? Coincidences! Ah! So, here's the story...
So on Tuesday night, I was on YouTube watching Charliessocoollike, because, truthfully, I am in love with him. (don't tell Christofer!) Anyways, I was watching his latest video, where he took us on a kinda tour of his home town, Bath, England.
http://www.youtube.com/user/charlieissocoollike?blend=1&ob=4
Then today, in English, we began to read this simply amazing little story called The Landlady, written by Ronald Dahl. If you are wondering, yes, it is a pretty good story, although we're not finished yet.. However, if you do read it, read it with a group of eighth graders. Then you'll be able to fully understand the experience. (I'm inclined to be just a teeny-weeny bit choosy.......) Seriously though, read the story.
Sorry, I'm getting sidetracked... I've been kinda ADD today... sorry.
Ok, well the story takes place in Bath, England. Who knew, right??? I guess the point of this story was to tell you about how happy I was, hearing the amazing Charlie McDonnell's hometown mentioned in an.... uhhh... amazing story. Also, if you ever have the opportunity to show Meade this post, tell her I DO BELIEVE IN COINCIDENCE!!!!!!!!!!!

Christofer Drew #1
Ok, I'm going to start a new series of blog entries, that will all be dedicated to my love of Christofer Drew. Each blog, I will write about a new thing that I love about him. The topic right now, is his name. Christofer. I love it, because it's spelled differently than you might think. Chrisofer with an f, not a ph. How neat is that? It just looks..... cool, ok? By the waaaay, if you ever want to put me in charge for naming something... (ie pets, small children, inanimate objects you may be incredibly fond of, etc), make sure that you don't have any irrational fears of alternative spelling... Or the name Chris.... Or Christofer...... I dunno if you can guess where I'm going with this, but uhhhhhhh, the next thing I name is going to be a Christofer. Definitely. For sure. I bet that was surprising news, huh? Yep, reaaaal subtle. Haha well anyways.... I think I'm done talking 'bout Chris for tonight. My foot is falling asleep. Darn.
Love forev!

Remember how I said I'd be writing the name of the song I was listening to??? Well I think I almost forgot about that.... Anyways, I've started doing that again.

New Background
I was just skimming for new backgrounds when... drumroll please... I saw an amazing (absolutely stunning, and so stunning that I am fr-eaking out about it) shot of the Black Rock Desert! Now you probably do not know this about me, but the Black Rock Desert is one of my favorite places in the world. The landscape is so fascinating, and provides numerous great photo ops. Another thing I will mention, (because once again you may not know this) is that I am really interested in photography. Being able to create a snap-shot of life, frozen forever, is just so... cool to me. Anyways, aside from the point...................... This is a great photo. So for the moment it is my background. Yeaaah, I'll probably change it in a few days, just cuz it's kind of hard to read my links and shtuff, but in the meantime, its good.
Crazy Ninja Shoe Thief... Or not
Ok, so I went to DB Shoes today so I could get me some awesome Chuck Taylor Hightops! Well, ok, originally I went there to find some Keds, or maybe some Levis. Something that would have a sturdy sole so I could walk around in 'em. But, after a series of unfortunate and mind melting events, that did not happen. Here's my story:
I go to the section where they have Keds, pull out my size, open the box, and there's only one shoe in the box. Bummer. So, I find a new color, because of course, the one I had been originally looking at doesn't have any more of my size. I find a new box, open it up, and- only one shoe. I look through the other boxed of Keds, but no more of my size. But that's ok, I'll just get some Levis instead. They're basically the same thing anyways. I find my size, pull out the box, and.... Only one shoe! By this point, I was kinda freaked out. Some crazy ninja shoe thief was stealing all of their shoes!!!! So I look through allllllll of the Levis, alllllll of the Keds, and there are either no more of my size or only one shoe in the gosh darn shoe box. So finally, I just give up, and walk to the other end of the store to look at Converse, thinking that maybe my shoe demon was only attacking one part of the store. While I'm walking through the aisles, I see some awesome hightops! I've never bought hightops before, I used to think they were reaally funky looking, but now they're just plain amazing. So I see a pair of hightops, in my size, and pull out the box, only to find, ONE SHOE. I seriously thought I was going crazy. I mean, honestly, really?? Apparently I am one severely hated shoe buyer.
Think this is the end? I thought so too. But don't worry, it gets happier.
My mom, seeing my distress, goes and asks an employee why there is only one shoe in every box. And the lady looks at us, smiles, and tells us that because of recent burglary attempts, it's an added safety precaution. The matches to every shoe, in the whole store, are in storage. If you want to buy a pair, you go to the cashier and they will bring out the match to you when you make your purchases. That way, if people try to steal shoes, they really, can't. So problem solved, right? I ended up getting my legit pair of All Stars, and then I went home.
This is the end.

A Chance to Laugh At Charlie Sheen..
Ok, so there's a lot of chances to laugh at Charlie Sheen. I mean, seriously, he just sets himself up for these things! Google the SNL Charlie Sheen skit thing when you have a chance too. Super funny. But in the mean time, sing along to this super catchy song. And I mean super, amazingly catchy.

Why Florida Must Win the NCAA Thingy
I'm not a huge follower of basketball, just because it's not one of my favourite sports. However, this year I filled out a bracket thing-a-ma-bob predicting who would win the tournament*. I know absolutely nothing about basketball, and so I had no real strategy for picking the teams... But what I pretty much ended up doing was picking the ones with awesome names. By the way, did you know there's a team called Gonzaga??? That's one of the coolest names ever!!! But they're not gonna win. Florida is going to win. In a game against North Colorado. Why? Because I picked them to win, duh! So.... root for Florida. Even if you really, reaaaaaally want Texas to win (you know who you are), you need to root for Florida. I understand, it's hard. I am a personal fan of Michigan (not state!!) and Arizona, but Florida will win. Oh well. Anyways, comment and post your favourite team! Bye!
*Is it even called a tournament? I mean, honestly, what do you call it? I'm so confused!!!

Jack White Surprise Appearance!
As you may or may not know, The White Stripes recently ended their music career, a huuuuuuuge tragedy. (OH MY GOSH HOTEL YORBA) But guess what?? Jack made a surprise appearance in front of his record store/recording studio, Third Man Records, somewhere in Nashville. He sings this one song, that I don't know the name of but really liked the sound of, and then he played Hotel Yorba!!!!!!! He started playing that song right as I started typing the 2nd line actually.... which explains my outburst..... Anyways, check it out if you love Jack White!

Also, if you enjoy Jack White, look up the bands Dead Weather and the Ranconteurs, a couple of his other projects. I personally enjoy the Ranconteurs' style a bit more, but comment and tell me what you like!
(by the way, at about 5:30 Jack White leaves, so unless you want to watch the dude who comes after him, exit :)

Pizza Mush
As you know, I recently got braces. Yay! They don't hurt as excruciatingly bad as all my buddies said they would, however the one thing that has bugged me has been my quad helix thingy. It gives me a 'speethch imphediment', makes is hard to swallow/chew and cuts into my poor wittle tongue! Ouchies! It's getting better all the time* though, so don't worry 'bout me! Adjusting is so odd for me though! I was hangin with a bunch of friends on Friday, and they were all munching on pizza while I was slurping soup, and we were joking about shoving some pizza into the blender so I wouldn't miss out. After thinking about it for a while, I decided that actually wouldn't be too horrible. My friends were grossed out, and thought i was pr-eeetty insane. So what did I do? Naturally, I go home, make some pizza, and jam it into the food processor. It wasn't as weird as I thought it was going to be. It had a texture kind of like mushed up rice, and it tasted exactly like pizza! My sister screamed as soon as I walked into the room with it, and my parents laughed at me like they couldn't believe I actually went through with my crazy plan. Me? I had a lot of fun laughing at myself. So, if you get braces, (or have them), take my advice and don't be afraid of experimenting! You won't be bored ever again.

What's in Your Shampoo?
I think this is a pretty important topic, because sadly, as our world progresses and nasty characteristics such as greed and apathy begin to drown out global society, things like this start to happen. Cancerous chemicals being poured into every orifice of your body, toxic waste being flung into our water and buried in the ground. Poisonous fumes being spewed into the skies. Sounds lovely, doesn't it? Well guess what, now your shampoo might not be safe. Yep, I said it. They've invaded the last thing you thought was truly your own. Your BATHROOM. So do something about it and be a bit safer (and a bit greener as well!) Change your shampoo and other cosmetic items into all that organic stuff that you usually see at the store, barely glance at, and bypass for L'Oreal. Gasp! The nerve. Well I did it so toughen up and do the same thing! Or don't, who am I to boss you around? Just a friendly tip. Lastly, you can watch this neat video to educate you on the horrors of consumerism, greed and human kind in general. Hope you learn something from it, I sure did. (honestly, I hope you do, I'm not just being nice)

Did It Hurt?
Guy: Did it hurt?
Girl: Did what hurt?
Guy: Did it hurt when you fell from heaven? Cuz baby, you're an angel.
If you just absolutely love cheesy pick-up lines, then you're like me. They're just so lame and hilarious! This one is particularly tacky, and not only do I love Never SHout Never, but this song is sooo perfect for it:

Follow-up of My Last Post
While I was on my blogging rampage of Charlotte's Web and Lord of the Rings, I was reminded of two other things I love. The band, Good Charlotte and the book, Lord of the Flies.
Good Charlotte is an amazing band, songs of theirs that I love include Birthday, Anthem, Girls Don't Like Boys, etc. Great music.
The book, Lord of the Flies, is phenomenal. It's the type of book that when you finish reading it, you feel numb, kind of dazed. It's the kind of book that even though you know you have finished it, you still flip all the way to the very last few pages to check in case you missed anything. The ending is haunting, and part of you is telling you that it's all wrong, that couldn't possibly be the end. Why would such a gripping book end in such a horrible, terrible way? But in your heart you know that it's the perfect ending. In it's own twisted, chilling way, it's the end.
Enjoy reading/listening!

Charlotte's Web and Lord of the Rings
Two things I recently noticed I really love. The book Charlotte's Web, and the movie Lord of the Rings.
A week or so ago, in English class, I needed a book to read, so I go to the handy dandy book cabinet, grab a random book, and tadaa! It happens to be Charlotte's Web! I don't remember the last time I read it, probably about five or six years ago, but after picking it up and being flooded with a storm of memories, I realised that I really love that book. Like, a lot. A lot. Sure, it's a kid's book and I'm way too old to be reading it, and all that jazz, but I really enjoy it. It makes me happy. Hahaha.
Another thing I really love is the movie The Lord of the Rings. More specifically, the entire trilogy. The movies are so intense and action packed, the animation is amazing, the costumes and makeup are out of this world! It's the master of all insane movie like that. The books, as well, are masterpieces. I suggest reading the books before the movie, because books are always better :) Which brings me to another point. Usually when you read a great book, and follow it up with the movie, the movie is about a hundred times worse than the book. With the Lord of the Rings, it's a close match. Very, very good movies.
And that's it for this blog. Bye!
(By the waaaay, I've decided I'm starting a new feature. Since I am usually (almost always) listening to music while teching it out on the computer, I'm gonna write the name of the song I happen to be listening to at the moment of blogging at the bottom of the post, so you guys can get some idea of what time of music I chill to. I dunno about you, but I'm rather proud of this idea. Yeah... I like it. Haha well, enjoy.)
