For anyone who has seen the movie Letters to Juliet, or anyone at all, this is inspiring and moving. I read this letter in a book based on the actual story of the wall that is dedicated to Juliet's love in Verona, Italy. There were a bunch of letters, and I only had time to read a few, but this one especially caught my eye, so I wrote it down to keep it.
"Dear Juliet,
I am in a bunker. Outside I hear missiles exploding, bullets being fired. I am twenty-two years old and I'm scared. Our commander has told us that soon we must come out. A hand-to-hand battle awaits us. I feel I will die. I leave life with this brief note. I am entrusting it to you, symbol of universal love. I delude myself by thinking it will make people understand the futility of hate.

Status Update!
MmmmKAY ladies and gentlemen! Lemme tell you what I have been up to in the forevvvver it's taken me to get around to the joys of blogging!
Starting last friday night.... I went to a fan-freaking-TASTIC concert that showcased some local bands, including the LetDowns, Courtesy Call, March Into Paris as well as CRUSH!! Now, this being on a personal and totaaaaally biased opinion, CRUSH was by far the best, most amazing band there that evening. Their dubby-rock infused rhythms just get into your soul and as I had the amazing opportunity to be jammin' in the very front with my friends I got to have a maaajor dance partay! It was my very first concert at the Knitting Factory of Reno and I must say I had an amazing time. When I finally got home and crashed at about 12:30 I woke up 4 and a half hours later to prep for a debate tournament! Yeaah for me! 6:30 brought me to the bus and my debate-groupies, and at about eight o'clock I was at Douglas High School, ready for my FIRST debate as a Senior-level debate-ee! Ahh! My first round, (just my luck) was against one of the best debaters, just my luck, however none of that mattered because I had a great time and got to end everything on 4th Street at midnight in a dumpy diner with my debate family. Lotta love there.
As for TuesdayWednesdayThursdayFriday, I got to enjoy finals finals and more finals! Yeah!! And considering my terrible study habits, it actually was not super bad. Friday night I 'final'ly (HA) got to relax, enjoy a school production and support one of my funniest friends who was partaking in it, and then spent an evening walking in random directions in the pouring rain. I have absolutely no complaints.
How has your guys's life been?? Missed y'all!
Wake Up- Arcade Fire
Ready To Go- Rebublica
The Middle- Jimmy Eat World
The Final Countdown- Europe

I Tell the Best Stories
Let me tell you- I can tell some fantabulous stories when I want to. And it's tons of fun. So here are a couple of random, spontaneous stories I wrote per my friends request. This is the first one:
Once upon a time, there was a magical doorway cat. He was Japanese, and his name was Maneko Neki. This cat was very good luck, and also a secret ninja. He loved eating lemons, but only on Wednesdays, and he could fly better than a ninja squirrel. Also, he had at his disposal a fleet of tree-climbing chihuahuas. The captain of these tree-huggers was a fearless little dog named Chlobacca. She was definitely kick ass, but what the citizens of LisaHouse did not know was that Chlobacca, and her feline sidekick Mario were-- DOUBLE AGENTS. They were both working for a dashingly beautiful and mysterious blonde-ling of hippy-ish nature. Every night, when the inhabitants of LisaHouse were asleep, these two heroes would sneak out, dance on Broadway with Maneko Neki, and then bring news of life to the mysterious "Dirty Little Hippy". Some say this story is true, some say not, but anyways, that's the end.
or IS it???
After reading my beautifully thrilling tale, my friend said, and I quote "I don't like it. I want a sad orphan story." So, I made a sad orphan story:
Once upon a time there was a punk-ass rocker, hipster chick named Annie. Her parents were totally awesome hipsters like Fred and Carrie on Portlandia, and were loving and caring padres. But sadly for punk-ass rocker hipster chick Annie, good parents became too mainstream, so the took thirteen year old Annie, shoved her into an all natural, locally spun, organic weave basket made of hemp and set her a drift in the river of gross that went through the local garbage yard. As little Annie floated down, a kindly hobo named Jim spied her and made his way to the bank to pick her up and save her. He leaned over, Annie's huge and broken fingers reaching out to him hopefully, and then Jim went into cardiac arrest and fell face forward into the scum, falling on top of Annie, simultaneously crushing her and drowning her. The End.
What do YOU think? I, for one, absolutely love writing spontaneous stories. So maybe spread the joy and have a writing party!

Music&Life
One of my quasi* friends showed me this, and it really had some depth and feeling for me. It's a short little video, around three minutes long, and for me, it speaks the absolute truth. So go on, watch the video, and then come back and read my feelings on it.

So. Now you've watched the video, unless you're being uncool and not watching it first, in which case you're reading this section of the post. Whatever, fine by me, see if I care! (fights back tears, but not really). I honestly, absolutely and fantastically love this video. It makes so much sense, and it portrays society, and modern feeling of "success" so brutally well, and it really just strikes a certain depth of raw purity within my personality. I especially like the end, (seeeee lame-o people who skipped ahead, SPOILERS come to those who deserve them!) where the supah cool British narrator says something about how you have lived life through this analogy of a race, always striving for something better, when in reality, life is a musical, and you're supposed to sing and dance your way through it. Anyways, I think that this video is so inspiring, and it teaches a life lesson I hope I never forget, and it also captures so much of my personal belief and crams it into this cute little production, and overall, I definitely love it. I hope you love it as well!

Being Lame
Sometimes, (well, maybe a lotta times..) there are days when I am super lame, and boring, and lazy, and do nothing productive. I hate this. A lot. Because I always feel like it is such as waste of life, especially when I know there are a million better things I could be doing. Anyways, I found this neat-o little website of 20 things to do in 20 minutes. It's not particularly profound, but it's a start, and maybe it can jumpstart my boring life, or anyone else's for that matter! So, enjoy, and live life!
