Just Dance!

Yesterday evening I had a craazy fun dance party with my buddy!  Her brother got a Wii for his birthday, and one of the most amazing games ever on the Wii is this dancing game, where you get to pick a fun song, and then you just copy what the little person on the screen does!  It's kida hard to explain, but let me tell you-  SO much fun! My arms hurt though... Hahaha well anyways, I just wanted to say that, first of all, it is the ULTIMATE party game!  And secondly, if you ever get the chance to try it out, do it!!!!!  Yes!

Here's a couple of the amazing songs I amazingly danced to!  Oooo it's what the game looks like too!

Breaking Things..

Ok, so Monday night was, to put it simply, crazy and twisted.

First of all, I walk into my room, the radios on, I'm having a great time, until I look down.  And see my cat.  With a mouse.  In her claws!  So I scream, pick my cat up, and run down the length of my house with my cat in my arms, calling for my dad.  "Dad!  Dad! Dad!  Dad!  Daaaaaaad!  DAD!"
I finally get my dad, he comes to my room, and picks up the little mousikins by its tail then walks with it, through the house, while a horrified Sierra and a agitated cat look on.  (I'm still not quite sure what happened to the mouse...)

Then, I decide to take a shower after my incredibly stressful moment.  So I walk into the bathroom, only to find the toilet flooded.  Great.  Just, great.  So once again, I go down the length of my house, and tell my dad, who promptly makes me clean up the bathroom.  All types of ewwy.  The floor is, really wet, so I grab a towel and start mopping.  After I finished my gruesome, yucky, awful chore, I walk down the length of my house to put the soaking wet toilet water towel in the washing machine.  When I get to the laundry room, I found that there was already a load in.  So I clicked the pause button, and wait for the door to unlock.  And waited.  It didn't unlock.  So I turned off the washing machine, and still the door did not unlock.  I turn the machine back on.  Still, no un-lockage.  So, once again, I go and get my dad, to tell him that the door won't unlock.  So here's how the scenario unfolded..

A fairly shocked  mom walks into the laundry room, surprised, and asks, "What is going on?!?"
A disgruntled dad rather bluntly replies, "Sierra is breaking everything that she touches."
A slightly hurt and exasperated me says, "It's not my fault I'm having terrible luck!"

Anyways, I ended up leaving my parents in their struggles and went to finally, finally, take a shower.  Why did it have to be so complicated???

Roller Coasters

You know that feeling you get on a roller coaster?  As you take the initial plunge, your heart races and your entire body tenses up with anxiety.  Then you swoop down, and, as soon as they emerged, all your worries are swept away by the exhilaration that rushes through your soul.  After the ride, you are eager to run to the nearest line.  You long to experience the same excitement.

Now rewind a few minutes.  Once again, you are plunging downward.  You choke up with fear, and you feel like you can't breathe.  Only this time, the relief and excitement doesn't come.  You dangle within those first few moments, unable to escape the overwhelming flood of troubles.  Once the ride is over, you stumble away from the crowds.  You feel empty, shocked.  Dazed.  And all you want to do is curl up and cry, even though no tears come.

This is what it can feel like to be disappointed by someone you care about.  And sometimes, you aren't so sure you want to go to the next line.  Sometimes, it feels simpler just to go home.

Paris and London!

As promised, my photo gallery!  Here I am in Paris!

The metro shuttle thing I took to our hotel!  The metro was one of my favorite parts of Paris and London- so fun to ride!

This was my first above-ground view of Paris!

The sign for the metro station that I came out of.

A beeyooootiful picture of the Seine, and the little (ok, it's not little, it's MASSIVE) building to the left is the Louvre!

This is the most amazing bridge ever.  The story is, couples who are in love come to the bridge, lock a padlock onto the railing, then toss the key into the Seine.  It's really symbolic and sweet and was another highlight of my trip!  This is my favorite picture that I took too :)

It's Notre Dame!  I climbed up sooooo many steps to get to the top.  My thighs will never forgive me.

The best gargoyle ever.  He's my buddy.

Guy playing the accordion on the street!  It was so neat how many people were playing music!  They were everywhere!!

 Black and white Eiffel Tower

Kinda cool picture underneath the Eiffel Tower!

Crazy Parisian traffic.  There is no way I will ever ride a bike, drive a car, or drive a motorcycle/scooter there.  Never!  The metro is fine with me :)
(picture taken from the top of the Arc de Triomphe by the way)

Pretty stained glass windows in Saint Chapel!  We waited 1 humid, hot and sweaty long hour in an incredibly sunny and crowded line to get in.  All because of security!  I went through at least 20 security stops/metal detectors/bag checks while in Europe.  It. Was.  Crazy!

In front of Versailles.  Look at all the gold stuff!  That place is so crazy expensive!

Flowers in the gardens at Versailles.

All of the lawns and hedges and flowers are soooo manicured and perfected!  I just imagine an army of gardeners going out to attack, hahahaha.

In honor of my friend Meade :)

So how crazy is this.  On the pretty lock bridge, I'm looking at the names carved into the rail, and i find a Sierra J!  What are the odds??

The obelisk at Concord (the place where everyone got guillotined!)

 The pyramids at the Louvre.

Now I'm in London!

The do have cool telephone booths there!

Oh!  My watch in synchronized time with Big Ben!  Skillz!

...I thought this sign was funny....
(this was just before entering Westminster Abbey by the way)

The gates in front of Buckingham Palace.

Red soldier guy in front of Buckingham!

Close up time ;)

Well, that concludes my trip.  Trust me, it was the most eventful week ever!  I stayed up for a full 24 hours one night, sprinted through Chicago Airport, went through more security then I probly have ever, saw about 5 British monuments in 5 hours, and blasted through Paris.  It was tons of fun.  But I'm glad to be back, because I missed my family and friends! :)

Earth Day!

Earth Day is coming!  April 22nd to be exact!  So in honor of our Earth, I changed the background, and I'm taking on a mission to make you guys be nicer to your Earth!  For those of you who live in Reno, on Saturday, May 7, the Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful organization is hosting a community cleanup!  See you there maybe?  Here's the link if you're interested:

Happy Greenness!

Who do you like?

So you're texting one of your guy friends, and having a great time just talking to him.  Ok, yeaaah, maybe you like him a bit.  Maybe more than a bit.  Kinda a lot?  Anyways, you're talking to him, and then he asks you who you like.  About a bajillion thoughts explode in your head.  "Is he asking me because he likes me???" "Am I crazy for thinking this???"  "What do I say??????"   You start smiling, then frowning, then laughing, then freaking out!  You have noooooo idea what to do, so you text one of your girl friends for advice.  What does she say?  "Just tell him, he likes you."  But what if he doesn't???  You ask him why he wants to know, and he says he's 'just wondering.'  Well that was less than helpful.  So you continue to be on edge, freaking out.  What's going to happen?  I have no idea.

Hello Again!

I missed you all so much!!!!!!  Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!  I had probably one of the best days ever yesterday, just seeing all of my friends again and catching up with them.  Also, I had a great time in other countries!  Haha it was so insane and busy and ah!  I don't really feel like talking about it all on this post, sooooo I'mma gonna just make another one telling you all about it!  And I'm posting tons of pictures, don't worry.

Au Revoir!

Hey guys!  Or should I say goodbye.... I'm leaving for Spring Holiday!  Finally!  Although it doesn't look very spring-like at the moment.  It's snowing.  (sigh)  So, in about 4 hours I will be on an airplane flying to Denver!  I'm going to spend tonight and I'm pretty sure tomorrow morning at my Aunt's and Uncle's house there, visiting various family members, then my Aunt, Uncle, and Grandma and I will be boarding a plane to London!  From London we take the Chunnel (underwater train thing!) to Paris.  I'm pretty psyched.  It seems so surreal right now though... I can't believe I'm actually going..  Hmmm strange.  Anyways, I love you all and will miss you all and promise to post tons of pictures when I get back! Bye everyone!

Nine In the Afternoon!

Ok, I don't really have anything to blog about right now, but I'm gonna post all of these amazing songs that come on.  (I'm listening to Pandora, by the way, excellent program, if you don't know about it, google it and create an account!)

Well..... This song, Nine In The Afternoon, came on, and guess what??  It's by Panic At The Disco!  One of my favourite bands, and this is an amazing song that I just  (literally 40 seconds ago and counting) found out was by them!  Ah!  If you are also a Panic fan, check out their new song The Ballad Of Mona Lisa.

Haha even if you don't like Panic, I would recommend watching the video if you have an appreciation for amazing mustaches, vampire looking guys, and cool photography effects.

I like the ninja assassin net they throw at Mary at the end.... hahaha.
The vampire looking guy (main singer) kinda reminds me of Blaine from Glee.  Yes, I am a Gleek.
What is it with me and boy bands in eye liner?  (sigh.)

I love The Killers, and Greenday, and Panic at the Disco..... Sensing a pattern here?  Hmmmm....

My Chemical Romance is also amazing.  Other good songs by them:
Sing
I'm Not Okay (I Promise)
Helena

Gerard Way looked awesome for a while, kinda like another Billy Joel Armstrong, then his hair got all long and greasy looking (yuck), and then recently he dyed it red and it looked amazing again.  How do I know this?  Rolling Stone magazine!  I was reading and article about it.  He looked prettyyyy hot in one of the pictures...... Almost as hot as Tyson Ritter or Brandon Flowers!  (All American Rejects and The Killers)

Brandon Flowers

Ok, I'm done blogging for today.  I've been on the computer waaaaay too long.

Good bye darlings!
