As promised, my photo gallery! Here I am in Paris!
The metro shuttle thing I took to our hotel! The metro was one of my favorite parts of Paris and London- so fun to ride!
This was my first above-ground view of Paris!
The sign for the metro station that I came out of.
A beeyooootiful picture of the Seine, and the little (ok, it's not little, it's MASSIVE) building to the left is the Louvre!
This is the most amazing bridge ever. The story is, couples who are in love come to the bridge, lock a padlock onto the railing, then toss the key into the Seine. It's really symbolic and sweet and was another highlight of my trip! This is my favorite picture that I took too :)
It's Notre Dame! I climbed up sooooo many steps to get to the top. My thighs will never forgive me.
The best gargoyle ever. He's my buddy.
Guy playing the accordion on the street! It was so neat how many people were playing music! They were everywhere!!
Black and white Eiffel Tower
Kinda cool picture underneath the Eiffel Tower!
Crazy Parisian traffic. There is no way I will ever ride a bike, drive a car, or drive a motorcycle/scooter there. Never! The metro is fine with me :)
(picture taken from the top of the Arc de Triomphe by the way)
Pretty stained glass windows in Saint Chapel! We waited 1 humid, hot and sweaty long hour in an incredibly sunny and crowded line to get in. All because of security! I went through at least 20 security stops/metal detectors/bag checks while in Europe. It. Was. Crazy!
In front of Versailles. Look at all the gold stuff! That place is so crazy expensive!
Flowers in the gardens at Versailles.
All of the lawns and hedges and flowers are soooo manicured and perfected! I just imagine an army of gardeners going out to attack, hahahaha.
In honor of my friend Meade :)
So how crazy is this. On the pretty lock bridge, I'm looking at the names carved into the rail, and i find a Sierra J! What are the odds??
The obelisk at Concord (the place where everyone got guillotined!)
The pyramids at the Louvre.
Now I'm in London!
The do have cool telephone booths there!
Oh! My watch in synchronized time with Big Ben! Skillz!
...I thought this sign was funny....
(this was just before entering Westminster Abbey by the way)
The gates in front of Buckingham Palace.
Red soldier guy in front of Buckingham!
Close up time ;)
Well, that concludes my trip. Trust me, it was the most eventful week ever! I stayed up for a full 24 hours one night, sprinted through Chicago Airport, went through more security then I probly have ever, saw about 5 British monuments in 5 hours, and blasted through Paris. It was tons of fun. But I'm glad to be back, because I missed my family and friends! :)
Sierra! When we are older we both need to go here and have a fun friend trip! yessss! That'd be sooo much fun!
