Rest in peace, Reno's only alternative rock radio station. I will miss you dearly. I remember, about a year ago, when I first discovered the magic and music that was presented on KRZQ, 100.9. The White Stripes, the Killers, the Clash, Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, MCR, Panic! at the Disco, Weezer, the Offspring, the Strokes, Linkin Park, Evanescence, Memory Motel and many, many more were honored to grace your frequency waves. Now your legacy has died. No, not died. Your legacy has been ripped up, forced through a shredder, burned alive, and then the ashes have been buried with a garbage dump placed on top of them. Now, we are left with not KRZQ Reno's Alternative, but KRZQ Top 40 Mix. Because apparently, we can never get enough of K-E-dollar sign- HA!, Usher, or Nicki Minaj in this town. Not like we already have 4 today's hits stations already... pshhhh nope.
Anywaaays. You will be missed. And your managers can expect a lot of disappointed fan mail... Peace out!
Yes, yes I did write an eulogy for my radio station. Got a problem with that?!?!!??!?
Didn't think so.
