Memory Motel!

I just had an amazing time.  At 6:30 my buddy Julie, picked myself and our friend/my neighbor Clay, up, then drove us to Maytan Music Center.  We ended up there about 20 minutes early, so we killed time wandering around downtown and breaking the law.  Did you know it's illegal to lay on the sidewalk in Nevada?  Apparently you are "obstructing traffic" so... you're not supposed to do that.  So what did we do?  We laid down on the sidewalk.  It was funnn.  After that we made our way into Maytan, up the stairs, paid our 5$ admission fee, discovered Clay was a millionaire, and went into the concert room.  Then we hung out in there for another 45 minutes maybe, waiting for the concert to start.  Very Pretty Pigeon was the first band, and they did a pretty good job.  The lyrics were maybe a bit scream-y, but the beat was super catchy.  After they played, I bought their t-shirt, and then Memory Motel was on!  Memory Motel is a prettyyy amazing band.  If you have a chance, check them out.  They played through their songs, and then, sadly, it was time for my group to leave.  Julie and I fished my jacket out from where she had throw it behind these big drums, then we grabbed Clay and got back into Julie's car.  We missed the band The Kanes, but I will just half to see them some other time.  Then Julie's mom drove me and Clay home.  I had tons and tons of fun, and was so glad I got to go! :)  yay local bands!
